The Madcatz Cyborg lights can have different installation problems to the Philips lights, or there may be an occasion where one light suddenly stops working - see the comments by gblight on the thread on the amBX forum for software-related matters:

Some people are reporting that Microsoft seem to have broken their lights with the update to Windows 8.1. There seems to be an answer that works - see the end of page 3 on this amBX forum topic:
